"Best B&B of our trip"
Avonlea was the first b&b of our three weeks in England and Italy and set a standard that none of the others could match, a great way to start a holiday. Certainly one I would recommend. Comfortable both physically and personally with gracious hosts. Comfortable and spacious room and an excellent variety of food for breakfast.
"The best Bed&Breakfast !!"
We had a really very pleasant stay in a lovely room, decorated tastefully and very comfortable. The welcome of Jackie and John was perfect from the beginning to the end. Kindness and smile were there. We shall keep an excellent memory of our two nights at their home. Thanks again.

My husband and I stayed at Avonlea for one night. It is a perfect base for visiting Old Sarum and Salisbury on foot. The en-suite room at the front of the house is tastefully and luxuriously decorated, the bed is huge and as comfortable as our own with good quality bedding and towels. Wifi connection was excellent and always good to relax with coffee facilities in the room! A lovely breakfast the next morning to start the day off perfectly. Would recommend staying here without any hesitation whatsoever. Thank you both for a very pleasant stay and the very warm welcome.

That says it all - everything was as it should be, quite faultless, but it was the small gestures and kindnesses that really made it for us. My wife and I had an overnight stay and have never had a better experience in our years of bed and breakfasting, here and in Europe. Our thanks to both of you and we look forward to meeting up again.

This was our last stop of our overseas trip. We had 8 nights at Avonlea & it was the best stay of our whole trip. Having been in accommodation in NZ we feel we have had experience in this field. The hosts Jackie & John were top shelf & the whole stay was superb. The bed was the best we had slept in plus the room was spotless & roomy. We have relations in Salisbury so will be staying at Avonlea on future visits.
"A cosy B&B"
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Everything was very clean, cosy, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and Jackie was very attentive. She also provided a binder full of info about Salisbury restaurants, attractions, etc. She had bus schedules on hand as well. The Avonlea House is located on the main road into town (don't worry - it isn't a busy road, and road noise was not a problem), and there is a bus stop right next door. My husband and I did a lot of walking while in town, but we did hop on the bus into town once or twice, which is about a mile away. There is a nice park across the street which is good for a little walk as well.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Salisbury.
